What You Can Expect
Project Schedule
This position requires nationwide travel and extended periods away from home. A typical project assignment lasts approximately four to seven weeks, followed by approximately four to five days at home. The exact rotation may vary based on project duration, customer requirements, crew needs, and operational demands. The assigned crew generally travels, works, and takes scheduled time off together. Because each employee represents a significant part of a small crew, dependable attendance and reliability are essential to project safety, productivity, and completion.
A typical project schedule example is:
Monday through Saturday, approximately 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Overtime and extended hours based on project requirements
Occasional schedule changes based on weather, customer operations, safety conditions, deadlines, and other jobsite needs
Key Responsibilities
Lead daily jobsite operations from project mobilization through completion, including safety, scheduling, staffing, quality, materials, equipment, documentation, and project closeout.
Maintain a safe jobsite by conducting required safety meetings, hazard assessments, equipment inspections, and other safety activities; enforce CCS Group, customer, OSHA, MSHA, and jobsite requirements.
Take corrective action when unsafe conditions or practices are identified, and promptly report incidents, injuries, near misses, equipment damage, and other safety concerns.
Review project scopes, engineered drawings, specifications, schedules, and related documents, then translate project requirements into clear daily assignments for the crew.
Lead, train, coach, and support a dedicated crew of approximately five to six employees while setting clear expectations for safety, attendance, conduct, productivity, quality, and teamwork.
Monitor employee performance, address attendance or workplace concerns, resolve conflicts, and communicate significant employee matters to the Operations Director or Human Resources.
Track project progress, labor, materials, equipment, deadlines, and jobsite conditions; identify and promptly communicate delays, shortages, scope concerns, staffing issues, and other project risks.
Serve as CCS Group’s primary onsite contact with customers, engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, and vendors, providing professional updates regarding project progress, scheduling, safety, quality, and changing jobsite conditions.
Identify potential repair, maintenance, or additional project opportunities and refer customer requests, scope changes, pricing questions, and contractual matters to authorized company leadership.
Maintain accurate safety, production, timekeeping, equipment, and project records.
Coordinate and safeguard company-owned and rented vehicles, tools, equipment, trailers, materials, deliveries, and jobsite inventory; promptly report damage, missing, or unsafe items.
Maintain the assigned company vehicle and use the company fuel card responsibly and in accordance with company policy.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements
This is a hands-on construction leadership position. The employee must be able to perform the following essential functions, with or without reasonable accommodation:

Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull equipment and materials weighing up to 80 pounds.
Occasionally move equipment or materials weighing up to 125 pounds, independently or with appropriate team or mechanical assistance, depending on the task.
Work extended shifts, overtime, Saturdays, and irregular hours based on project needs.
Travel nationwide for assignments typically lasting four to seven weeks.
Reasonable accommodation may be provided to qualified individuals with disabilities as required by applicable law.
What You Bring: (Minimum Qualifications)
