Your Purpose
The candidate will contribute to the efficiency of the Food and Beverage sourcing activity on global markets by implementing strategic sourcing actions to reach optimization and improvement at all levels. The Buyer will work with the team to research, analyze and forecast current and future buying trends, markets, and products; develop and maintain commercial relationships with suppliers to ensure satisfactory purchasing agreements reaching the best combination of quality, rates and services.

Source Food and Beverage products worldwide in line with expected target and in compliance with the company guidelines.
Manage and build appropriate commercial relationships with suppliers to develop strategic partnerships.
Analyze suppliers’ quotations and bids, verify products specifications and negotiate terms & conditions.
Evaluating market trends, proactively suggesting innovative solutions and products and use market research to strategically plan future purchases.
Produce Analytics reports and maintain accurate records.
Proactively work with Logistics and supply to achieve best possible procurement agreements.
Your Journey so far
Previous experience in the role, minimum 3 years, ideally within the cruise sector.
Degree in Economics, Gastronomic Sciences, Procurement Management, Business Management (master’s degree in food and beverage management is a plus).
Your Essentials
Experience in the Food sector and comprehensive understanding of Food strategic sourcing and market trends;
Good Excel skills and knowledge of procurement e-platforms is an advantage;
Excellent knowledge of computer systems (knowledge of Crunchtime is an advantage);
Strong ability to analyze and interpret quotation data and logistics options;
Very good negotiating and communication skills;
Fluent English and Italian, any additional language is an advantage;
Ability to work as part of a team;
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines;
Availability to travel;
Legal right to work in Italy.

In line with applicable pay transparency requirements, we are pleased to share the compensation details for this role.
The role is entitled to a gross annual salary between € 30.000 and € 40.000. The position within the salary range and the corresponding job classification level under the applicable CCNL, will be determined based on the candidate’s professional experience, technical competencies, and the level of autonomy and responsibility assigned to the role. The employment relationship will be governed by the CCNL Commercio (National Collective Bargaining Agreement for the Commerce Sector).
