The Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support to healthcare providers, including taking patient histories and assisting with examinations. They are also responsible for managing patient flow, scheduling appointments, and maintaining clinic supplies.
Candidates must be a high school graduate and a Registered or Certified Medical Assistant with current certification. Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 35 lbs is required for clinical staff.
The Medical Assistant is responsible for participating and assisting in the care of the patient, under the direct supervision of the Health Care Provider and in collaboration with the healthcare team. The Medical Assistant is responsible for taking the patient’s history, assisting with administering injections, examinations and procedures as trained. The Medical Assistant performs both administrative and clinical duties to support and represent the Providers and the Organization in a professional manner. Medical Assistants are instrumental in helping patient’s feel at ease and often explain the Providers instructions as directed.

Monday-Friday, 8:00am- 5:00pm
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE• Registered or Certified Medical Assistant and maintain current certification as a Medical Assistant • Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
· To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The individual must be able to: Ø Stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift, see, speak and hear. Lifting is limited to 35 lbs. for clinical staff and to 50 lbs. for non-clinical staff. The individual must use an assisted-lift device or get another individual(s) to assist with the lift that is over these maximum limits.
