Perform newborn hearing screens in a hospital setting and provide essential education to parents regarding early intervention. Manage data collection, documentation, and scheduling for babies who require follow-up outpatient appointments.
Requires a high school diploma or GED and current CPR certification. Candidates should have the ability to work weekends and holidays, and be physically capable of standing for most of the shift and lifting up to 50 pounds.
The Hearing Screen Technician (HST) performs hearing screens and provides education to parents on the relevance of hearing screens and the importance of early intervention.
