Key Functions / Responsibilities
Responsible for the development of product definition, positioning, pricing, and product lifecycle management, including market sensing; leading the product management function within new product development teams; pricing; customer communications; customer support; and revenue forecasting.
Plan, forecast, and market strategic products at all stages of the product lifecycle to maximize sales revenue, market share, and profit margins, including:
Analyze and anticipate market conditions to identify market trends, customer requirements, and competitive strategies, and identify opportunities to increase customer and business value through product differentiation.
Develop thorough knowledge of target customer segments, markets, and competitors. Define product features and functions for internal and external stakeholders, including product characteristics, advantages, and potential threats from competitors or market conditions.
Act as a bridge between Headquarters, Regional teams, Service, Sales, and Applications by translating business and technical requirements.
Manage supply, demand, revenue, and pricing for the product portfolio; regularly update and present forecasts to Supply Chain Management (SCM) and senior management.
Research and serve as a resource for information on market changes, competitive products, product benefits, and superior value propositions to customers.
Provide product training to Sales and Applications teams for both existing and new products.
Analyze reports to identify opportunities, trends, and potential threats with the objective of maximizing value across the infusion pump portfolio, disposable lines, and Pump Monitoring Systems
Consistently demonstrate structured thinking while conducting strategic assessments and identifying process improvement opportunities for the business.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Medical Technology, Medical Engineering, or a related field is required.
Five to ten years of relevant experience in product management and marketing within the medical device industry.
Experience with infusion pumps is an advantage.
Functional & Technical Skills
Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, coaching, communication, and consulting skills.
Self-starter with a strong results orientation and a demonstrated track record of driving the business toward long-term goals.
