Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Sector (NGAS) has an opening for a Principal Contract Administrator to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Air Dominance Division. This role is located in Dayton, Ohio. This position is full-time on-site and offers the 9/80 work Schedule.

Responsibilities include by are not limited to:
Interfaces with external customers and internal business partners, conducting proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and contract administration
Examines proposal requirements and estimates, prepares bids, analyzes terms and conditions to evaluate risk, accuracy, and completeness to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications
Offers guidance and works collaboratively with a multitude of organizations ranging from technical, program, pricing and estimating, finance, global supply chain, and trade compliance for seamless contract administration
Processes contractual documentation and reports, advises management of contractual rights and obligations, compiles and analyzes data and maintains historical information
Oversees all phases of the contract administration process, from initial preparation and negotiation through execution, change or extensions and termination
Plans and executes successful contract negotiations of a complex nature and achieves targeted profit rates, favorable terms and conditions on both contracts and other agreements required to assist in mitigating risk and meeting overall financial goals
Builds customer intimacy and effectively cultivates those relationships
Makes decisions in a timely manner under tight deadlines and pressure
Maintains comprehensive and organized electronic and hard copy records of all contracts and related documentation for easy access and auditing

Basic Qualifications for Principal Contract Administrator
Level 3: Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant professional contracts experience; or a master’s degree with 3 years of relevant professional contracts experience.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to use them in informing, presenting, and negotiating to all levels of management
Experience evaluating/negotiating FAR clauses in different contract types
Experience using MS Office Suite, (specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) and Adobe.
US citizenship is required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Team player, independent, proactive, and possess excellent problem solving, oral and written communication and organizational skills
Current/active US Government Secret Clearance
Experience negotiating and administering various contract types, knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) / Defense Federal Acquisition Relation (DFAR) requirements
Ability to work independently and make independent decisions, ensuring high levels of collaboration with stakeholders and subject matter experts
Primary Level Salary Range: $85,600.00 - $128,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
