Opdenergy is a growing independent renewable energy producer (IPP) with presence in Europe, United States and Latin America with more than 19 years’ experience. The company develops, builds, finances, manages and operates high quality renewable energy projects in several countries, with a portfolio of 2,6 GW (1,3 operational and + 1,3 ready to build / under construction) assets in operations and construction, whole portfolio under development sums up to over 18 GW.
Opdenergy is now looking for a Grid Connection Manager to give support to our projects in Italy.
What will you help with?
Interaction with Distributor Network Operators (DNO) and Transport System Operator (TSO) to ensure the grid connection of generation facilities.
Negotiation with relevant parties involved at the point of connection (POC) for the coordination of the works, scope, engineering, and necessary agreements that allow the execution in time of the shared evacuation infrastructure.
Provide technical assistance during the project development phase to the Business Development and Financing team, ensuring factors related to the grid connection are considered.
Oversee the planning and implementation of the evacuation infrastructure works necessary for the adequacy of the existing distribution / transport network defined at the DNO Offers for the renewable generation facilities.
Supervision of the basic / detail engineering in accordance with the applicable regulations of the evacuation infrastructures to ensure the quality and service of the shared connection.
Preparation and review of single-line diagrams, layouts, metering, control, and protections schemes, for evacuation infrastructures.
Supervision of compliance with H&S standards, as well as work quality and service standards for evacuation infrastructures.
Delivery of monthly status reports on the project for management and sponsors.
Review the project schedule with the project team, suppliers, and contractors.
Preparation of connection plans and schedules in coordination with the Construction and Development team.
Preparation of execution budgets for the evacuation infrastructure on a regular basis.
Project Controlling.
Execute the project according to the project plan.
Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and meet the project specifications.
High technical knowledge of Project Engineering for both Substations and Evacuation Lines in Italy.
Knowledge of Electrical and Renewable Regulations, Markets and Companies promoting projects, contractors, and manufacturers suppliers of HV/MV equipment in Italy.
Who you are:
Graduated Engineer in Electric, Electronic, Management or similar
At least 5 years of relevant experience
Skilled in Energy, Power Systems, Power Transmission, Project Portfolio Management,
Account Management, Substation, Contract Management, Renewable Energy and Smart Grid.
Excellent spoken and written English (C1), Spanish is a plus.
Advanced computer software skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, and financial systems.
ETAP, PSCAD, PLS Tower, CYMCAP, Autogrid Pro
