Join the team at Silfex as a Manufacturing Technician and launch your career in high-tech production! In this hands-on role, you’ll receive full training to operate a variety of advanced machines that play a key part in creating precision components for the semiconductor industry. From engraving and waterjet cutting to cleaning, lapping, and polishing, you’ll learn to master equipment that transforms raw materials into high-performance parts. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
D Shift: 6pm - 6am ET
Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to perform donning and doffing of required PPE while entering in and out of cleanroom type environments multiple times over the course of a shift. The employee is also frequently required to reach with hands and arms; walk, stand or sit; talk or hear and occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, and crouch.
The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds. The employee is regularly required to lift up to 25 pounds. The vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the environment is moderate. The employee is required to wear cleanroom gowns (including hood and mask) for the duration of a 12-hour shift on a regular basis and other PPE including respirator, acid PPE as needed.
