The Project Manager oversees the entire project lifecycle from the sales cycle and estimation through implementation, installation, and final acceptance. Key duties include managing project budgets, timelines, subcontractor proposals, and maintaining positive cash flow while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience and at least 5 years of project management experience. Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, and financial concepts is required, with experience in material handling or robotics preferred.
The Project Manager's involvement begins in the sales cycle. This may involve estimating, solicitation of subcontractor proposals, assistance in presentations, review of proposed contracts, project scheduling and systems design. As the sales process transitions into the implementation phase, the PM takes on increasing responsibility for understanding and controlling Toyota Automated Logistics risk from technical, contractual, cash flow, and organizational standpoint. This may involve estimating, solicitation and selection of subcontractor proposals, assistance in presentations, defining project implementation timeline, review of contracts, and systems design. The Project Manager will stay involved and travel to the customer site throughout the installation, go-live and acceptance process ensuring customer satisfaction while maintaining the project budget and timeline.
