Develop and integrate advanced technologies to reduce aircraft detectability in the electromagnetic spectrum. This includes implementing predictive analysis codes, building physical models, and optimizing survivability integration for air-based systems.
Requires a STEM degree with 5 to 8+ years of experience depending on the level, and a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance. Expertise in applied electromagnetics, aircraft survivability, and CAD software is essential.

Northrop Grumman has an opening for an Principal Engineer/Senior Principal Engineer - Survivability to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida. The Survivability Engineer will be essential in enhancing the survivability of defense systems through the application of advanced materials and processes.
The qualified applicant will support a diverse portfolio of research and technology development activities. As part of your assignment, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to determine how survivability technologies can best be integrated into air-based systems within the NGAS portfolio.
Northrop Grumman is one of the industry leaders in Stealth Technology. As such, we are involved in all phases of development, production, and maintenance of Low Observable (LO) platforms. We are currently looking for experienced Low Observable / Survivability Engineers to work on a variety of challenging projects. One area where we are in need of talent is Radar Cross Section (RCS) Analysis.
The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility. There is no remote / hybrid / telework available for this position. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Primary Level Salary Range: $108,200.00 - $162,400.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $135,000.00 - $202,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
