Responsibilities
Develop and test brake control products, analyzing performance data and conducting root cause analysis. Manage design verification and product validation work packages to ensure reliability and manufacturing objectives are met.
Requirements
Requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and at least 3 years of automotive product engineering experience. Proficiency in MS Office/DIADEM is required, with LabVIEW or Python experience being an advantage.
We are looking for a new colleague in R&D Center at our location in Shanghai.
What you can look forward to as Physical Test Engineer:
Development and testing of current production and new design for brake controls products.
Analyze data and identify drivers of product performance; communicates results with affected stakeholders (applications team, design team, production team, and customer).
Prepare detailed test summaries and conduct root cause analysis utilizing various engineering resources (materials lab, measurement lab, etc).
Plan and manage design verification and product validation test work packages and issues test reports approving release of parts.
Organizes and executes test work packages in support of program milestones (e.g. design verification tests to support drawing release, product validation testing to support production part approval process) and publishes required reports.
Processes work packages for work not requiring improvements to product design in support of manufacturing or purchasing (e.g. process changes).
Coordinates with internal departments to develop braking products concurrently that meet cost, reliability and manufacturing objectives.
Maintains appropriate engineering procedures throughout the product development process including problem solving and achieving engineering deliverables.
Your Profile as Physical Test Engineer:
Minimum of bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of automotive product engineering experience working in product development and testing.
Knowledge and experience in test planning, execution, data analysis and reduction, with results presentation.
Proficient in MS Office/DIADEM, LabVIEW/Python experience is advantage.
Preference for a candidate with brake design and braking systems experience.
Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
