Role Overview

RZR is seeking a talented Software Engineer (Backend) to join our engineering team in Bangalore. This role is ideal for a developer with 2+ years of experience and a passion for building scalable backend systems that power AI-driven products and ad-tech platforms.

As a Software Engineer (Backend), you will primarily work on the backend of RZR's new AI-powered creative generation tool — the Creative Studio platform. This platform leverages AI to assemble and optimize ad creatives, localize them across multiple markets, and integrate with major ad platforms such as TikTok, Meta and internal bidding platform. The system orchestrates AI services, manages creative assets and metadata, and supports performance-driven experimentation at scale.

Over time, you will also contribute to RZR's programmatic Demand-Side Platform (DSP), which powers real-time bidding, machine learning-based prediction, and ad delivery at large scale.

Work Arrangement: This is a Hybrid role based in our Bangalore office. Our team collaborates in person on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, with flexibility on other days.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services for the Creative Studio platform, enabling AI-powered creative generation, localization, and production workflows
• Integrate with third-party services and ad platforms (e.g., TikTok, Meta, and others) for creative deployment, campaign configuration, and performance data ingestion
• Implement and support authentication and access control, including user management, role-based permissions, and secure handling of internal and external users
• Integrate backend services with AI services and pipelines used by Creative Studio (for example, services for creative generation, asset analysis, and metadata enrichment)
• Work with product and engineering teams to understand requirements and translate them into robust, scalable backend APIs and services
• Collaborate with other engineers and product team to design data models and workflows that support creative assets, variants, localization, and performance feedback loops
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and contribute to code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement of engineering practices
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues, ensuring reliability, observability, and performance of backend services
• Later, design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services for RZR's real-time ad bidding platform (DSP), focusing on low-latency and high-throughput system components

Required Skills / Experience

• 2+ years of backend development experience
• Strong proficiency in Node.js with hands-on experience building production-grade APIs and backend services
• Experience with Python for backend services, scripting, or data processing tasks
• Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL including relational data modelling, query optimization, and schema design
• Experience designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIs and integrating with third-party services or platforms
• Familiarity with authentication and authorization concepts (for example, session management, token-based auth, and role-based access control)
• Experience with containerized development and deployment (Docker; Kubernetes experience is a plus)
• Good understanding of CI/CD workflows and version control (Git) in a team environment
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience

Nice to Have

• Experience with Rust or C++ for performance-sensitive or low-latency backend components
• Familiarity with ad-tech, real-time bidding (RTB), or programmatic advertising ecosystems
• Experience integrating with AI or machine learning services, including computer vision or NLP-based pipelines, for content or creative analysis
• Knowledge of message queues, event-driven architectures, or distributed systems patterns used in modern backend systems
• Exposure to ad platform
