Provide strategic leadership and oversight for Career and Technical Education (CTE) programming across all district middle and high schools. Ensure regulatory compliance, high-quality instruction, and the expansion of college and career-aligned pathways for students.
Requires NYS School District Leader (SDL) or School District Administrator (SDA) certification and demonstrated experience in CTE leadership or secondary administration. Candidates must possess knowledge of NYSED regulations, Perkins requirements, and experience with master scheduling and data systems.

The Syracuse City School District represents 35 schools and programs, including 6 high schools, 6 middle schools, 6 K-8 schools, 13 elementary schools, and 4 alternative education programs, serving approximately 19,000 students Pre-K–12. Of these students, 82.3% qualify for free or reduced-price lunch, 20.1% are served by the Office of Special Education, and 83% are students of color.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Syracuse City School District seeks a highly qualified and innovative educational leader to serve as the Supervising Director of Career & Technical Education (CTE). This district‑level administrator provides comprehensive leadership, oversight, and strategic direction for CTE programming across all SCSD middle and high schools and affiliated programs. The Supervising Director ensures high‑quality instruction, regulatory compliance, and equitable access to college‑ and career‑aligned pathways for all students.
