Technical Business Analyst

Help us build smarter, more reliable services in a fast-moving, data-rich environment.

We are growing our Connect team and adding a second Business Analyst to help us shape and improve a new revenue management system in a complex, high-volume environment. We need someone who can bring together business needs, technical thinking and clear analysis so we can build solutions that work, improve performance and reduce risk.

What you’ll do

• We will rely on this role to help define the right business requirements and turn them into clear, practical specifications that support delivery.
• We will work together to improve how we reconcile usage, recharge and invoice data so we can strengthen revenue accuracy and spot issues earlier.
• We will count on this role to connect business, product and technology teams so that ideas move smoothly into well-built solutions.
• We will need strong analysis of data, business rules and process flows so we can make better decisions in a technically demanding environment.
• We will look to this role to help shape solution design, support implementation and drive continuous improvement across existing and new applications.
• We will value someone who can work independently, ask good questions and stay focused on the outcomes that matter most.

Our team

We are a small, growing team made up of three software engineers and one other Business Analyst, and we are expanding as we build out this capability. We work in our Connect environment, closely linked to high-volume data, technical platforms and product delivery

What we’re looking for

Minimum requirements

• We are looking for a relevant tertiary qualification in Business Analysis or a related field
• We need 4–7 years’ experience in business analysis, with the ability to work independently
• We require strong business and data analysis capability, including process understanding and requirement
• We expect experience working across business and technical teams, with strong stakeholder engagement
• We need experience in process design, solution delivery and agile environments
• We expect a solid understanding of how systems are built and delivered (development lifecycle)
• We look for strong analytical thinking, problem solving, communication and planning skills

Preferred

• We would value experience working in financial services or banking
• We would value exposure to telecoms or similar data-intensive environments
• We would value experience working with complex data sets and operational databases
• We would welcome familiarity with cloud-based environments and modern data platforms

Non-negotiable

• We require the ability to write and work confidently with SQL
• We need someone comfortable working in a data-heavy, technical environment
