RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Senior Associate will be part of Southeast Asia team and will be responsible for conducting research, analysis, investigative and compliance-related work that forms the basis of Kroll's client engagements. Specifically, you will:
Conduct public domain research, open-source intelligence (OSINT), database research and coordinate source inquiries to support investigative, due diligence, compliance and integrity-related engagements.
Undertake business intelligence and reputational research assignments, including identifying ownership structures, business interests, political exposures, litigation, regulatory issues and adverse media.
Analyze financial, corporate, transactional and operational information to identify potential fraud, corruption, conflicts of interest, asset misappropriation, sanctions, AML and other compliance risks.
Support forensic investigations involving allegations of misconduct, financial irregularities, employee misconduct, corruption, procurement fraud and other regulatory or internal concerns.
Review and interpret financial records, corporate filings, transactional data and other documentation to identify anomalies, risk indicators and investigative leads.
Source information from primary and secondary sources, including proprietary databases, public records, internet sources, industry contacts and human-source enquiries.
Develop creative and innovative approaches to obtaining information in challenging or opaque operating environments.
Verify the credibility, reliability and relevance of information obtained through both open-source and human-source channels.
Prepare high-quality written reports, presentations and client-facing materials in English.
Work closely with colleagues across Kroll's Southeast Asia and other regional markets.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree from a reputable university in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Law, International Relations, Political Science, Journalism, Criminology or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience within a Big 4 firm, consulting firm, investigations consultancy, forensic accounting practice, corporate intelligence firm, regulatory body or professional services environment.
Strong research, analytical and critical thinking skills.
Ability to synthesize large volumes of information and identify key risks and findings.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a diverse and international team environment.
Demonstrated experience in either business intelligence, investigative due diligence, forensic investigations, compliance reviews, forensic accounting or related disciplines, with the ability and willingness to work across multiple investigative and compliance workstreams.
Professional fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English (written and spoken) is required.
Additional regional language capabilities would be advantageous.
Experience with investigative databases and research tools is desirable.
