Full job description
About the Role
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Gamification Visual Designer to craft engaging visual experiences for our gamification initiatives across digital products. In this role, you will transform business objectives and product concepts into compelling game-inspired experiences that enhance user engagement, motivation, and retention.
This is a visual design-focused role within a digital product environment. You will work on gamification experiences rather than traditional game development.
You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Business teams, and Animators to design visual concepts, interactive assets, and lightweight prototypes that bring gamified features to life.
Key Responsibilities
Develop the visual direction, art style, and creative concepts for gamification features that align with product goals and user engagement strategies.
Design high-quality game assets, including characters, illustrations, environments, icons, rewards, badges, and UI elements.
Create engaging user interfaces and interactive visual components for gamified experiences across web and mobile platforms.
Produce wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and motion concepts to effectively communicate gameplay interactions and user flows.
Build lightweight animations and interactive prototypes to validate concepts before production.
Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Business teams, and Animators throughout the product development lifecycle.
Translate product requirements into intuitive and visually appealing game experiences while maintaining consistency with the company's design system and brand identity.
Utilize AI-powered design tools to accelerate ideation, concept generation, and design iteration.
Participate in design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and user feedback discussions to continuously improve the player experience.
Stay updated with industry trends, gamification techniques, interaction design, and emerging AI-assisted creative workflows.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Design, Information Engineering, Human–Computer Interaction, Visual Communication Design, Multimedia, or a related field.
3–5 years of experience in Game Design, Game UI Design, Visual Design, Product Design, or related creative roles.
Strong proficiency in Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe After Effects.
Practical experience utilizing AI tools to enhance creativity and accelerate design workflows.
Strong visual storytelling skills with the ability to transform abstract ideas into engaging user experiences.
Experience creating prototypes, motion mockups, or animations to communicate design concepts effectively.
Strong understanding of visual design principles, visual hierarchy, composition, typography, color theory, and interaction design.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience working in cross-functional product teams.
Professional proficiency in both Bahasa Indonesia and English, written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience designing gamification features such as rewards, achievements, missions, leaderboards, loyalty programs, or incentive-based user journeys.
Experience working in regulated industries such as insurance, financial services, banking, or payments.
Experience in IT consulting, creative agencies, or digital product companies.
Passion for gaming, digital products, and creating engaging user experiences.
