About the Role:

The Process Engineer is responsible for supporting, improving, and stabilising production processes to enhance efficiency, product quality, and operational consistency. This role is highly hands‑on, working closely with Production, QA, and Maintenance teams on the shopfloor to resolve daily issues, support trial runs, and ensure smooth process execution, particularly during ramp‑up and new product introduction phases.

Role Responsibilities:

Production Support

• Support daily production issues to ensure smooth and stable operations.

• Work closely with production teams to improve output, efficiency, and product quality.

• Help maintain stable production conditions on the production line.

Process Improvement

• Identify process issues and suggest practical, shopfloor‑focused improvements.

• Support implementation of simple process changes to improve efficiency and reduce defects.

• Work with Engineering and Production teams to apply and sustain process improvements.

Trial & New Product Support

• Support trial runs and new product introduction activities.

• Work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth transition from trial to mass production.

• Help identify and solve issues during trial and ramp‑up phases.

Shopfloor Support

• Provide hands‑on support directly on the shopfloor.

• Work closely with operators and supervisors to ensure processes are followed consistently.

• Support daily troubleshooting and practical problem‑solving activities.

Cross‑functional Coordination

• Collaborate with Production, QA, and Maintenance teams to support daily operations.

• Assist with day‑to‑day problem solving and process alignment.

• Communicate clearly with supervisors, engineers, and cross‑functional teams.
  

What you'll need:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related fields is preferred; candidates with strong hands-on manufacturing experience will also be considered.
• 3–6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in footwear or midsole manufacturing is preferred.
• Experience with Injection / Phylon / polymer foam processes is required.
• Experience in chemical processes, polymer materials, foam production, or compounding processes is highly preferred.
• Practical factory experience is highly valued, even without a formal engineering degree.
• General understanding of production processes.
• Basic problem-solving skills with a practical approach.
• Experience working directly on production lines.
• Hands-on, proactive, and team-oriented working style.
• English proficiency at basic to working level.
