Description

YWCA Dayton, a 24-hour organization dedicated to the elimination of racism and the empowerment of women, seeks an energetic, dedicated person to be an integral part of our team. As an Exempt – Salaried position, the Social Enterprise Case Manager reports to the Director of Strategic Initiatives & Workforce Development and is passionate about “Making a Difference” in the lives of all within our community. 

This position is mission-oriented and an Exempt – Salaried employee expected to work 40 hours weekly with some evenings and weekend activities. This position serves as a positive representation of YWCA Dayton by providing welcoming, supportive, and professional services to women participating in Social Enterprise programming, while advancing the vision, mission, and values of YWCA Dayton.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Assess, orient, and facilitate participant enrollment into Social Enterprise programs and employment initiatives. 
  • Provide individualized coaching and case management services to support participants in achieving employment, career, and self-sufficiency goals. 
  • Deliver workforce readiness programming, including job search strategies, resume development, interview preparation, workplace communication, professionalism, and retention skills. 
  • Facilitate group education sessions and workshops focused on career development, financial wellness, workplace success, and personal growth. 
  • Serve as a liaison between participants and employer partners to support successful job placements, address workplace concerns, and promote participant retention. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, workforce development agencies, educational institutions, and community partners to expand employment opportunities for participants. 
  • Conduct employment assessments and develop individualized action plans that support participant career pathways and barriers reduction. 
  • Monitor participant progress through regular coaching sessions, documentation, and follow-up activities. 
  • Provide advocacy, support, and referrals to community resources that promote employment stability and personal success. 
  • Administer and maintain participant records within the ETO system, ensuring timely, accurate, and complete data entry. 
  • Track participant outcomes, attendance, employment placements, retention milestones, and program performance metrics within the ETO system and other required reporting systems. 
  • Generate reports and support data collection activities to ensure compliance with agency, grant, and funding requirements. 
  • Monitor documentation and reporting deadlines to maintain compliance with organizational and funder expectations. 
  • Collaborate with program staff, leadership, and community partners to coordinate services and improve participant outcomes. 
  • Attend agency, department, partner, networking, and workforce development meetings as appropriate. 
  • Support recruitment, outreach, and engagement efforts for Social Enterprise programming. 
  • Assist with program evaluation activities and continuous quality improvement efforts. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support participant success, program operations, and organizational goals. 
  • Uphold YWCA Dayton's vision, mission, and values while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all participant interactions.

Requirements

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:  

  • Effective Communication: Communicate effectively and appropriately, both verbally and in writing, with participants, employers, community partners, and colleagues. Demonstrate strong facilitation, presentation, coaching, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
  • Mission Understanding: Demonstrated understanding and commitment to YWCA USA and YWCA Dayton's mission, vision, history, and programs while modeling organizational core values. Must be sensitive to the needs of women facing barriers to employment and economic stability, demonstrating empathy, cultural responsiveness, professionalism, and a high level of confidentiality. 
  • Workforce Development & Participant Support: Demonstrated ability to provide workforce readiness training, career coaching, job search assistance, employment planning, goal setting, and participant advocacy. Knowledge of barriers to employment, economic empowerment strategies, adult learning principles, and trauma-informed approaches to service delivery. Ability to motivate participants toward achieving employment and self-sufficiency goals.
  • Employer & Community Engagement: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with employers, workforce partners, educational institutions, and community organizations. Skilled in serving as a liaison between participants and employers, supporting successful job placement, retention, and workplace success.
  • Business & Technical Acumen: Demonstrated ability to manage participant records, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure compliance with program requirements. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, database management, and data-entry systems, including the ETO system or similar case management platforms. Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Group Facilitation & Training: Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver engaging group education sessions, workshops, and workforce readiness curriculum. Ability to effectively present information, facilitate discussion, assess participant learning, and adapt training approaches to meet diverse participant needs

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 

Minimum of 2 years of experience providing workforce readiness training, employment coaching, case management, group facilitation, adult education, or human services support. Associate degree in Human Services, Social Work, Business Administration, Education, Workforce Development, or a related field preferred; 4+ years of nonprofit, workforce development, employment placement, career coaching, or social service experience may be substituted for a degree.
