Business Development at Xenith is more than acquiring new merchants. You'll work closely with senior leadership, contribute ideas based on direct customer conversations and help improve how we grow - all while remaining hands-on throughout the commercial journey.

What we're looking for

We're looking for a commercially driven Senior Business Development Manager to help grow Xenith merchant portfolio and strengthen our commercial function.

You'll work closely with the General Manager to identify new opportunities, develop strategic merchant relationships and contribute to how we continue to improve our commercial approach.

We expect this role to contribute through market insight, customer feedback and practical commercial thinking. We're looking for someone who is comfortable taking ownership, enjoys solving problems independently and is motivated by building long-term value.

This role is ideal for an experienced Business Development professional who enjoys working in a growing business, combining hands-on execution with the opportunity to help improve how the commercial function operates as the company scales.

What you’ll do

• Drive commercial growth

  • Identify, qualify and develop new commercial opportunities through proactive business development.

  • Own the complete lifecycle of merchant acquisition - from prospecting and qualification through commercial negotiations, contracting, onboarding and go-live.

  • Build trusted long-term relationships with merchants and remain their primary commercial point of contact.

• Build the commercial foundation

  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities through disciplined CRM management, accurate forecasting and structured reporting.

  • Establish scalable ways of working by contributing to commercial playbooks, sales methodologies, SOPs and best practices.

  • Support onboarding, documentation and knowledge sharing as the commercial team expands.

• Contribute to continuous improvement

  • Work closely with the General Manager to continuously improve merchant acquisition approach.

  • Bring customer insights, market feedback and commercial ideas that help improve how we win, onboard and grow merchants.

  • Validate new opportunities, share ideas, challenge assumptions constructively and contribute practical recommendations based on commercial experience.

• Collaborate across the business

  • Work closely with Partnerships, Product, Operations and Compliance teams to ensure successful merchant onboarding and launches.

  • Represent the voice of the merchant internally and help align commercial priorities across teams.

  • Support successful merchant implementation and long-term commercial success through effective cross-functional collaboration.

What you should have

• 5+ years of experience in Business Development, Enterprise Sales or commercial roles within payments, fintech, banking, financial infrastructure or iGaming.

• Proven experience acquiring and growing enterprise merchants, ideally within payments, fintech or related industries.

• Good understanding of payment ecosystems, including PSPs, alternative payment methods and cross-border payments.

• Experience managing complex B2B sales cycles, from prospecting and commercial negotiations through contracting and launch.

• Ability to identify new business opportunities, build trusted customer relationships and drive commercial growth.

• Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Partnerships, Operations, Compliance or other internal teams to deliver successful customer outcomes.

• Strong communication, relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.

• High level of ownership with the ability to work independently, contribute ideas and help improve the way the commercial function operates.

• Comfortable working in a growing business where processes continue to evolve and where you'll help build structure alongside day-to-day execution.

Bonus Points

• Existing merchant network within Forex, iGaming or Digital Services.

• Experience selling payment infrastructure, payment gateway or PSP solutions.

• Experience working in a fast-growing fintech or payments company.

• Familiarity with compliance, regulatory, and operational considerations involved in onboarding merchants in regulated payment environment.
