Provide on-site support to high school students with disabilities during community-based work experience placements. Teach job skills, model professional behavior, and communicate progress to staff to increase student independence.
Candidates must be able to pass a criminal background check and complete the UNT WISE Job Skills Training certification. Experience in Special Education, Vocational Rehabilitation, or Human Services is preferred.

Position Summary
Work Ready is seeking a part-time Job Coach to support high school students with mild to moderate disabilities who are participating in community-based Work Experience placements. The Job Coach assists students directly at local employer sites to help them learn job tasks, understand workplace expectations, and build independence.

In 2017, Work Ready was a pioneering partner with the state of Texas in helping launch new employment services for high school students (SEAL, Work Experience), creating thousands of internship and educational work-based learning opportunities for students. Work Ready incorporated additional student services, providing in-classroom education programs such as Vocational Adjustment Training (VAT) in 2019 and Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) in 2024. Over the years, Work Ready has continued to excel in placement and student services. Today, we are proud to serve thousands of individuals across the state, reaching from the Panhandle to the Gulf Coast, and from Longview to Lubbock.
