The Recreation Aide assists in planning, implementing, and evaluating holistic activity programs for seniors. Responsibilities include coordinating social events, maintaining resident documentation, and ensuring a safe environment for all residents and staff.
Candidates must have a Grade 12 education and either a two-year Recreation Diploma or a Health Care Aide certificate with a Recreation specialization. Required certifications include First Aid Level 1, Serving It Right, and a valid Class 4 BC Driver's License.

About the Role
The Recreation Aide reports to the Therapeutic Recreation Manager/ Recreation Manager or designate. This role assists in planning, implementing and evaluating activity programs to meet the holistic needs and interests of persons served, while maintaining the rights of residents and ensuring they are treated with respect and dignity.
