Collaborate with attending physicians to complete inpatient rounding and assist with new pulmonary consults. Perform bedside procedures including thoracentesis and potential chest tube placement across four hospital locations.
Must be a certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with an active or eligible Georgia State Medical License. While experience is preferred, new graduates are welcome to apply.

Wellstar Health System is the largest health system in Georgia, providing care through a network of 11 hospitals, over 250 outpatient locations, and a wide range of specialized services. Our hospitals are equipped with state-of-the-art technology and staffed by highly trained critical care teams, providing expert care in areas such as intensive care, trauma, neurology, cardiology, and respiratory support. With Wellstar’s comprehensive network, patients have access to top-tier care, wherever they are in Georgia.
100% Inpatient Pulmonary
7 total shifts in a 2-week pay period. Six 12-hour shifts (7am - 7pm) and one 8-hour shift (7am-3pm)
No nights or call
Weekend requirement is one out of four weekends
Job requirements include collaborating with physicians attending to complete inpatient rounding, assisting with new consults and perform bedside procedures
On the job procedure training provided – thoracentesis and potential for chest tube placement
Covers four hospitals: Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Cobb Hospital in Austell, Douglas Hospital in Douglasville, and Paulding Hospital in Hiram
Must be an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant
