The LPN assists in the nursing process by assessing patients, implementing treatment plans, and administering medications under the supervision of an RN. They also collaborate on medical procedures, maintain safety protocols, and document patient encounters accurately.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited school of nursing and hold a current LPN/LVN license in the state of employment. One year of clinical experience is preferred, and the ability to obtain and maintain CPR certification is required.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in patient care by contributing to the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Working under the supervision of RN(s), the LPN provides direction and guidance in patient education and activities that align with their education and demonstrated competencies.
