The Certified Nursing Assistant provides basic nursing care, including assistance with activities of daily living and vital sign monitoring, under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Wellpath sees hundreds of thousands of unique individuals in their facilities month over month and a very large percent of those individuals receive direct clinical care, which includes lives saved by Narcan.
We offer ongoing training and development opportunities for licensed and unlicensed healthcare team members, and have best in class clinical resources for training, education, and point of care support.
The Certified Nursing Assistant performs basic and specialized nursing care functions under the supervision of licensed nurses. They adhere to local and regulatory policies and procedures to ensure proper patient care. The Nursing Assistant collaborates with other healthcare team members and correctional officers to plan and implement patient care activities in a correctional setting. After a general orientation to medical-surgical and psychiatric patient care areas, they may also float between units to ensure adequate nursing staff for patient care areas.
