The LPN provides direct clinical care, including patient assessment and medication administration, under the supervision of an RN. Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, performing diagnostic tests, and documenting encounters using SOAP charting.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and maintain current LPN/LVN licensure in the state of employment. A minimum of one year of clinic experience and CPR certification are preferred or required.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in patient care by contributing to the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Working under the supervision of RN(s), the LPN provides direction and guidance in patient education and activities that align with their education and demonstrated competencies.
