Safely operate Class A company vehicles to perform pick-ups and deliveries while providing a positive customer experience. Responsible for loading/unloading shipments, processing shipping paperwork, and performing daily vehicle safety inspections.
Requires a valid California Class A driver's license held for three years with a clean DMV record and a minimum age of 25. Must have a high school diploma and at least 3 years of experience in truck operation.
Description
The Class A Delivery Driver works collaboratively as part of the Cartage team and has a direct impact on the overall success of Watchpoint. They are responsible for the safe operation of company vehicles while working with our clients to make pick-ups, deliveries, as well as processing customer shipments.
The starting pay for this position is expected to be $35 to $38 per hour. Exact compensation is based on skills, experience, education, and location.
The shift will be Monday - Friday in either the morning or afternoon. This is a full time job (40 hours per week) and requires team member flexibility with scheduling as the needs of the business may change from time to time and the shift may be adjusted.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent and minimum 3 years of experience in a truck operation
The usual and customary methods of performing the job’s essential functions require the following physical demands: carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, bending, crouching, significant finger dexterity, and some climbing. Must be able to lift, carry, and move up to 35 pounds. The job is performed in a warehouse setting with temperature variations and requires the use of safety shoes and high visibility clothing.
