Provide regulatory coverage and advocacy at the PUCT and ERCOT to support NRG's wholesale and retail businesses in Texas. Develop regulatory policies, prepare filings, and collaborate with senior management and industry peers to influence policy changes.
Requires a bachelor's degree (engineering preferred) and at least 5 years of experience in ERCOT competitive markets. Must have existing relationships with regulatory agencies in Austin and a proven history of drafting regulatory comments.

Provide coverage and advocacy of regulatory matters at the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT), ERCOT, and other relevant regulatory agencies in support of NRG’s wholesale and retail businesses in Texas. Develop and implement regulatory policy as part of an integrated team of regulatory affairs and governmental affairs professionals. The candidate must have knowledge of the electric power industry in Texas with emphasis on the ERCOT competitive wholesale and retail markets. The candidate must have existing relationships in the electric industry and with regulatory agencies in Austin. The candidate must also have a proven history of excellence in drafting comments and publicly advocating for wholesale and retail matters.
