Provides leadership to regional office and agency-wide operations to support the Regional Director. Manages regional environmental programs to ensure consistent implementation of federal and state regulations.
Requires demonstrated knowledge of DEQ leadership competencies and comprehensive knowledge of environmental statutes and government operations. A combination of education and experience in engineering or physical sciences is preferred.
This position primarily supports the Regional Director by providing leadership to regional office and agency wide operations. Actively anticipate problems and apply common-sense solutions. Manage regional environmental programs as assigned by the Regional Director to ensure timely and consistent implementation in accordance with federal and state regulations, agency policy and procedures.
