Full job description

About Vira Health

Vira Health is a women's healthcare technology company providing virtual clinical care, educational resources, and support across fertility, hormonal health, pregnancy, parenting, perimenopause, menopause, and family health. We partner with employers and health plans to improve health outcomes and make evidence-based women's healthcare accessible worldwide.

Role Overview

Millions of women navigate complex health decisions with too little information and too little time with their providers. At Vira, you can change that.

As a Clinical Educator in our Member Zone, you'll spend focused, meaningful time with members - helping them understand their health concerns, make sense of the science, and walk into their next medical appointment feeling informed and prepared. These are 15–30 minute virtual education sessions: no clinical evaluation, no prescribing, no ongoing management- just the kind of clear, unhurried conversation that's rare in today's healthcare system.

This role is ideal for an experienced clinician who is passionate about health literacy, disease prevention, and empowering people to make informed decisions - and who wants a flexible, part-time engagement with real growth potential as our global platform expands.

Time Commitment
Initial opportunities start at 4 hours per month, with the potential to increase involvement based on member demand, country expansion and performance. Hours are flexible with the expectation that there will be some availability for live member sessions in the geographies where there is demand for individual clinical education sessions.

Key Responsibilities

Member Education & Support

  • Conduct virtual clinical education-only calls with members on health topics within your areas of familiarity including fertility, hormonal health, pregnancy, menopause, family health, and men's health. Because no provider-patient relationship is formed, there are no licensing or accreditation limitations or costs.

  • Lead group webinars and workshops, in your area(s) of deep expertise with the support of Vira’s staff.

  • Respond to general health questions via asynchronous messaging on a non-urgent basis

  • Provide evidence-based health information, lifestyle guidance, and self-management strategies

  • In collaboration with Vira Care Advocates (Navigator/Coaches), guide members on finding clinical care and facilitate appropriate referrals

Content Development & Clinical Quality

  • Create Member Zone educational content including articles, care plans, videos, and webinar materials

  • Review existing content for clinical accuracy, pertinent new evidence and practice guidelines

  • Develop educational materials that are culturally sensitive and appropriate for audiences with diverse backgrounds and from diverse geographies

  • Collaborate with Vira resources to validate the translation of complex medical information into member-friendly content

  • Ensure all educational materials comply with regulatory requirements across markets

Quality & Collaboration

  • Participate in clinical quality improvement initiatives

  • Contribute to development of clinical pathways and member education protocols

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including other clinicians, product, and operations

Required Qualifications

Education & Licensure:

  • Registered Nurse (RN), Registered/Certified Midwife (RM, CNM), Medical Doctor, Physician Assistant, Clinical Psychologist or equivalent licensed healthcare professional qualification

  • Current active license/registration in good standing in country of practice

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years clinical experience in women's health (OB/GYN, maternal health, reproductive health, menopause care, or related specialty)

  • Experience with virtual/telehealth platforms and remote patient engagement

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of women's health across the lifespan (fertility through menopause)

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex medical concepts in plain language

  • Cultural humility and a genuine commitment to health equity

  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment

  • Proficiency with digital health platforms, video conferencing tools,

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience creating digital health content or e-learning materials

  • Multi-lingual capabilities (Portuguese, French, Arabic, German, Chinese, Japanese, Hindi, Dutch, or Spanish particularly valued)

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive hourly rate (commensurate with experience and location)

  • Flexible scheduling and remote work

  • Professional development opportunities and continuing education support

  • Opportunity to shape clinical education strategy for a growing global platform

Schedule & Flexibility

Initial engagements start at 4 hours per month, with the opportunity to increase based on member demand, performance, and geographic expansion. Hours are flexible, though some availability during UK, US, or Canadian business hours is helpful for live member sessions.

Working at Vira Health

Our international team spans many territories including US, UK, Canada. We come together through regular virtual meetings and a shared commitment to improving health outcomes for women and families worldwide. As our member base grows, so does the opportunity to deepen your involvement.

Our Values

  • Evidence-based: We ground our education in clinical guidelines and research

  • Accessible: We make health information understandable and actionable

  • Inclusive: We serve diverse communities with cultural humility

  • Empowering: We help women and men make informed decisions about their health
