We are seeking a hardworking, hands-on Maintenance Crew Foreman to lead a traveling crew performing water tank maintenance and inspection work across the country. This position focuses mainly on water tank inspections, cleanouts, preventative maintenance, and small repairs or painting projects for municipal and industrial customers.

The Maintenance Crew Foreman will work alongside the crew while leading daily field operations, making sure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards. This position requires heavy travel, working at heights, and working in confined spaces while using proper fall protection and personal protective equipment (PPE).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Lead and work alongside traveling field crews performing water tank inspections, cleanouts, maintenance, and minor repair or coating projects.
  • Organize daily job tasks, crew assignments, tools, equipment, and materials to keep projects moving safely and efficiently.
  • Perform and oversee tank inspections, interior cleanouts, pressure washing, coating touchups, and routine maintenance work.
  • Assist with industrial painting, abrasive blasting, and surface preparation work as needed.
  • Follow and enforce OSHA regulations, confined space procedures, fall protection requirements, and company safety policies.
  • Hold daily safety meetings and ensure all crew members are using required PPE properly.
  • Communicate with customers, inspectors, subcontractors, and company management regarding project progress and job-site conditions.
  • Complete daily reports, inspection paperwork, safety documentation, and other required project records.
  • Help with equipment setup, rigging, material handling, and jobsite cleanup.
  • Train and mentor crew members on safe work practices and company expectations.
  • Climb elevated water tanks and structures up to 150 feet and safely work in confined spaces.
  • Travel extensively throughout the United States, including frequent overnight stays and extended time away from home.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience with industrial painting, abrasive blasting, coatings, water tank maintenance, or related industrial/construction work required.
  • Previous experience leading or supervising field crews preferred.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards, confined space entry, and fall protection procedures required.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Ability to read and follow safety procedures, project instructions, and maintenance documentation.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, leadership skills, and ability to work with a traveling crew.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record required.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and long hours as project schedules require.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to safely climb ladders, scaffolding, and elevated water tanks up to 150 feet tall.
  • Ability to safely work in confined spaces, outdoor environments, and all weather conditions.
  • Ability to regularly lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to wear required PPE, including respirators, harnesses, hard hats, gloves, hearing protection, and protective clothing for extended periods.
  • Ability to work around industrial equipment, blasting materials, dust, paint fumes, cleaning chemicals, and loud environments while following all safety procedures.
  • Extensive nationwide travel required, up to 100%, including frequent overnight stays and extended time away from home.
