Assist surgical teams by preparing sterile setups, passing instruments, and maintaining the operating room environment. Responsibilities include preparing patients, managing sterile supplies, and ensuring safety protocols are followed during procedures.
Requires completion of an accredited surgical technology program and certification (CST or TSC), or equivalent military training/grandfathered experience. Must hold current CPR/BLS certification and obtain necessary background clearances.
Perform a variety of tasks in an operating room that assist the surgical team. Arrange sterile setup for surgical procedures; pass instruments, sponge and suture to surgeons and surgical assistants; prepare sterile supplies; assist in cleanup of the operating room; check placement and operation of equipment; and check and restock operating room. During surgical procedures may be responsible for special trays, graft materials, and record patient data.
Orientation is Monday through Friday 0700-1530 for approximately 6 weeks. Candidate will have the option of working 5-8hr shifts (0700-1530), 4-10hr shifts (0700-1730) or 3-12hr shifts (0700-1930). One general call and one back up call weekly call shift every 6 days and then one general call and one back up call weekend every 6th weekend (rotating bases).
Eligible candidates will be offered a sign-on bonus of up to $25,000 based on their years of experience!
