Perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, and installation of industrial and commercial HVAC/R systems and chill water infrastructure. Provide technical guidance to junior technicians and oversee third-party contractors for infrastructure repairs and renovations.
Requires a high school diploma and at least 8 years of experience with commercial/industrial HVAC/R systems. Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License, EPA Universal Refrigerant Certificate, and a relevant Journeyman's or Contractor's license.
Responsible for the highest level of skilled discipline-specific tasks required to ensure the smooth operation of Universal Orlando Utilities as it pertains to all Industrial, Commercial and Non-Commercial HVAC/Refrigeration equipment, and Ride Vehicle (RV) HVAC equipment in Ride buildings, and the oversight of the UO chill water infrastructure.
Perform the highest level of advanced tasks in the troubleshooting, repair, maintenance and installation of refrigeration, heating, air conditioning and ventilation, and related systems and controls, including: Organizing and performing advanced service, repairs, troubleshooting and overhaul of light commercial and industrial heating, air conditioning ventilation and refrigeration; Understanding complex electrical schematics, BMS control functions/strategies and electrical distribution systems; Troubleshooting root causes and determine proper repairs; Analyzing system data to determine the need for increased maintenance frequencies or improved performance of the equipment; and assisting Utilities management with the supervision and documentation of any contractor activity.
Minimum 8 years’ experience with Commercial/Industrial HVAC/R systems including building automation systems, boilers, chillers and associated equipment is required.
