Overview
Assist with consumer and commercial loans in compliance with financial institution policies and procedures. Input and update loan data into financial institution computer system; assemble and verify loan documents for accuracy.
What You’ll Do
Provide administrative assistance to the loan officer and staff, including updating loan data or inputting loans into the system as needed, and assembling of loan documentation
Ensure loan files contain documents with proper signature, dates, and other relevant data
Assemble and verify accuracy of loan documentation
Check documents for proper vesting, legal descriptions, closing dates, and signatures
Perform variety of clerical duties requiring knowledge of departmental procedures and use office computers for data input and other activities
Order credit reports
Answer customer inquiries
Be familiar with bank products and services and look for opportunities to develop new customer relationships and strengthen existing customer relationships using United’s need-based sales approach
Work loan exceptions
Obtain and work insurance list
Create and/or verify wire transfers
Assist other departments on a temporary basis as needed during peak hours
Requirements For Success
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 1 year experience in a financial organization preferred
Experience in commercial and consumer lending preferred
Successful completion of in-house training program or approved external training program
Good interpersonal communication and organizational skills
Proficient keyboarding skills
Proficient in Microsoft office programs
Good understanding of financial institution products and services and procedures pertaining to loan operations and compliance
Attention to detail
Participate in all required compliance training, including Bank Secrecy Act/anti-money laundering training, as well as internal and external training programs, online training, meetings, and seminars/conferences, etc.
