Candidates must be graduates of an accredited school of nursing and hold a current Ohio RN license. A minimum of an Associate's Degree is required, while a Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.

The Med Surg Nurse will support the Medical Centers medicine and Level 1 Trauma Center, delivering high-quality care to patients based on assessed needs, established standards of care and according to policy and procedures. This 28 bed unit has ratios ranging from 4 to 6 patients per nurse. Patients may have Internal Medicine diseases, Congestive Heart Failure, Renal disease, Respiratory illnesses, etc.
