Job summary

The Training & Development Specialist ensures a standardised, high-quality and continuously improving development experience for new and existing HR Auditors, GPMs and other roles across Certification & Insights. The the role leads onboarding, learning and development, quality assurance and knowledge management, working closely with Certification Subject Matter Experts, Research & Insights, Certification Operations, other T&D roles across the business and central HR. The Specialist drives a digital-first mindset -adopting new technologies, including AI - to keep training, calibration and reference materials relevant as the certification offering and the HR Best Practices Survey evolve.

Purpose
As Top Employers Institute continues to grow its certification activity worldwide and evolves its product offering to clients we must continue to deliver a harmonised, consistent high-quality service to our participants. The Training & Development Specialist exists to meet this challenge: raising the bar on auditor quality, keeping training and reference materials up to date, and embedding a continuous-improvement and digital-first mindset so that delivery meets the same high standards worldwide.

Key result areas and main activities:

On-Boarding

• Responsible for the planning and execution of the onboarding for new joiners
• Improve the onboarding process and update and maintain the onboarding material as required
• Act as central touchpoint for new joiners
• Manage the interactions with all other teams and coordinate their contributions to the on-boarding process
• Responsible for the planning and execution of the onboarding and re-onboarding of freelancers in collaboration with the Freelancer Topic Owner
  
  Learning & Development (L&D)
• Overall responsibility for the coordination of all training sessions and material. Includes collaboration with subject matter experts for content creation.
• Adapt and evolve the existing training model to support the changes in survey structure and cadence and for any future changes to content and certification
• Facilitate continuous learning, including gap analysis for soft- and technical-skills training.
• Implement, maintain & develop structured and consistent evaluation methods to assess the effectiveness and impact of L&D initiatives. Utilize these data-driven insights to continuously improve the offering.2
• Propose and lead initiatives to implement new technologies including AI to enhance L&D delivery
• Manage organisation and coordination of external (multiple-entry) certifications as required
• Act as L&D Champion for the Certification Team aligning with HR's global L&D strategy and providing input and support as required
  
  Monitoring and Quality Assurance
• Maintain, refine and further develop the Quality Framework to provide an oversight of quality assurance processes, KPIs and performance standards applied to all certification roles. Including identifying and implementing new quality measures as required.
• Monitor and track overarching quality indicators. Actioning and/or sharing points of discovery and improvement with the respective stakeholders
• Collaborate with the Certification Operations team to identify opportunities for process and technology changes
• Regular reporting to community and management on relevant training metrics and quality indicators

Knowledge Management

• Lead the collaboration with Research & Insights to ensure:

- understanding around the HR Best Practices Survey;

- smooth implementation of Calibration of practice validation;

- sharing of structured survey feedback on an ongoing basis;

• Work with internal stakeholders, subject experts &/or project groups to ensure continuous update to materials and guidelines in the dedicated Platform utilising technology where appropriate.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field
• At least 2 years working experience in Certification/Audit/HR related positions
• Fluent in English.
• Be available to deliver within the Europe time-zone
• Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, and a strong intercultural communication skills
• Proven ability to manage successful remote teamwork and excellent interpersonal relationships from a distance
• In-depth understanding of the Organisation, and of what people need when entering our Company and mastery of the Certification process
• You are familiar with different Learning & Development Approaches (e.g. 70:20:10-Model) as well as Quality Assurance
• A digital-first mindset, with curiosity about new technologies including AI and a willingness to pilot them in training, calibration and knowledge management
• Highly autonomous, organized, and a fast-learner, capable of driving initiatives independently.
