Responsible for repairing and maintaining existing solar installations, including troubleshooting equipment and replacing defective components. The role involves ensuring safety compliance and providing professional customer service during service visits.
Requires at least 3 years of solar industry experience or a combination of construction and solar installation experience with strong electrical troubleshooting skills. Candidates must be physically capable of heavy lifting and working in extreme outdoor environments.
Description
Tiger Solar is seeking an O&M Service Technician to be responsible for repairing and maintaining already installed solar installations. This position is an hourly role that requires working outside in extreme environments, working at heights, and prolonged periods of repetitious duties including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods. All O&M Technicians must be able to perform the essential functions as outlined in this document.
o Includes warranty (3 months after an installation receives permission to operate), and billable service
o Communicate effectively with the customer and manage their expectations
o Troubleshoot non-working solar equipment (modules, optimizers, inverters, etc.) using a variety of techniques and strategies
o Contact technical support for solar equipment replacement and troubleshooting if a resolution cannot be achieved otherwise
o Replace defective equipment in a timely and professional manner
