MUIR Hotel : Guest Floor Attendant
Located in the absolute centre of downtown in the vibrant Halifax waterfront, in the heart of the Queen’s Marque district, MUIR offers elevated hospitality inspired by the spirit, culture and natural beauty of Nova Scotia. In each of our departments, our team shares a common goal – providing an exceptional customer experience in a clean, comfortable environment. If you are passionate about a career in hospitality and want to join a team that shares this common goal, the MUIR is presently seeking a Guest Floor Attendant.
Valid Nova Scotia drivers’ license and clean drivers abstract a must for this position. Shifts: Vary in their start and end time and can change due to the needs of our guests. A mixture of days, evenings, holidays, and weekend shifts.
What you will be doing as a Guest Floor Attendant:
Drive laundry cube truck to and from off-site laundry facility;
Clean all assigned public area to the Muir standard;
Support Room Attendants with pantry set up and all guest deliveries;
Take initiative to add a personalized experience for the guest;
Anticipate guest needs, being professional and welcoming;
Take ownership of guests’ privacy and belongings, while ensuring exceptional service;
Such other related duties and responsibilities as may be required from time to time.
Your experience and skills include:
A motivated, high performance team player;
Ability to anticipate guest needs, being professional and welcoming;
Organized with great attention to detail;
Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, and bend for extended periods of time;
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
Must be able to make repeated and continued movements of the shoulders, elbows, and hands (below waist and overhead movement);
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
