The automotive industry is undergoing massive transformation – a digital transformation. Software, connectivity and cloud-connected services are redefining the driving experience. Here at Telenav, we’re proud and excited to be a part of this transformation. We started with in-car navigation and location-based services over a decade ago and are now enabling leading automotive companies like GM, Ford, Toyota and Mercedes to redefine the overall connected car digital experiences.
Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a driven and technically skilled on-site technical support engineer to foster our product quality engineering/validation efforts across Europe. In this high-impact, field-facing role, you will be at the intersection of cutting-edge technology, customer relationships, and rigorous engineering standards. You will own the end-to-end validation lifecycle – from road testing and field evaluation to customer engagement and product demonstrations – ensuring our solutions meet the highest quality benchmarks before market deployment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Quality Assurance & Test Drive Support
Design, plan, and execute end-to-end product validation programs across Europe, including road testing, field evaluations, system testing, and deployment support (HW/SW configuration & user training).
Provide QA support for EU-specific issues such as routing errors, map data discrepancies, and API integrations.
Drive ongoing enhancement of validation methodologies, tools, test frameworks, and best practices based on field learnings.
Technical Escalation & Risk Management
Conduct root-cause analysis for complex technical escalations, coordinate with R&D and engineering teams for permanent fixes and ensure critical bugs are escalated and resolved in a timely manner.
Ensure all deployments comply with regional regulations (GDPR, data sovereignty laws) and industry standards. Mitigate risks by documenting technical processes, change requests, and incident reports.
Partner closely with engineering, software, QA, and product teams to translate field insights into actionable improvements, track validation milestones and deliverables, and provide clear status updates to senior management.
Customer Engagement Support
Gathering feedback, delivering product demonstrations, representing Telenav in customer-facing meetings (as directed by BD), and managing expectations effectively.
