Executive Officer (25260787)
The Department of Mathematicsis now seeking a highly motivated person to provide administrative support to the Department.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and organise activities/events hosted by the Programmes and the Department;
Handle visitors’ administration, including visa arrangements, contracts, accommodation, hospitality, and other related tasks;
Assist with departmental colloquiums, seminars, workshops, distinguished lectures, symposia, and other related activities;
Provide administrative support to the Programmes and the Department; and
Perform any other duties assigned by the Programme Directors and the Department Head.
Requirements:
A recognised degree, preferably with at least 2 years of relevant and solid work experience in higher education institutions;
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
Meticulousness, good interpersonal and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility;
Being self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team; and
Proficiency in common office applications, such as MS Office including Chinese document processing.
Shortlisted candidates may be invited to sit for a written test.
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review and mutual agreement.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
