Riccarton Clinic is a well-established, multidisciplinary healthcare provider located at Church Corner in Upper Riccarton, Christchurch. We offer both comprehensive General Practice and accredited Urgent Care services, delivering a wide range of healthcare support to promote the physical and mental wellbeing of our community. General Practice services operate on weekdays, while our Urgent Care service is open from 8.00am to 8.00pm, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

About the role
We are seeking an Urgent Care Doctor to join our experienced clinical team. This role focuses on delivering acute, episodic care to walk-in patients presenting with a wide range of minor injuries, illnesses, and urgent healthcare needs.
You will work alongside a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, providing timely assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and referral where required while contributing to safe and efficient patient flow.
This is a permanent role with flexibility across rostered shifts.
Key responsibilities include:
Assess, diagnose, and treat acute presentations in an urgent care setting.
Perform procedures and treatments within scope of practice.
Request and interpret investigations as clinically appropriate.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow up on results.
Support efficient patient flow and service delivery.
Work collaboratively with nurses and the wider clinical team.
