The Master is responsible for the overall safety, security, and operational management of the tug and its crew. This includes ensuring compliance with safety management systems, maintaining statutory certifications, and coordinating vessel maintenance and stores.
Candidates must hold a Master less than 500GT (NCV) qualification and a valid Seafarer Medical. Required certifications include STCW Basic Safety Training, Proficiency in Medical Care, Survival Craft and Rescue Boat, Advanced Fire Fighting, and Designated Security Duties.
