The opportunity:
Working within the US tax department of a large Canadian-based financial services company, the Senior Tax Analyst performs advanced or specialized work, which requires a comprehensive knowledge of accounting theory and principles as well as solid U.S. income tax knowledge. The successful candidate will become the technical level of professional, will develop a thorough knowledge of the organization's systems and be able to proactively identify opportunities to modernize and transform tax processes, including redesigning workflows and leveraging technology to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability, in addition to modifying or developing new procedures to meet specialized needs. Success in this role will be measured not only by accuracy and timeliness of deliverables, but also by the individual’s ability to simplify, automate, and scale tax processes through data and technology.
