The Clinical Technician provides basic patient care and assessments under the direction of RN/LPN staff. They are responsible for maintaining patient care standards while functioning as a member of a healthcare team.
Candidates must be high school graduates or GED equivalents and hold a required BLS certification. Nursing assistant certification and prior hospital or clinical experience are preferred.
The Clinical Tech will work in Rehab within St. Mary's Hospital, Athens, GA.
The Clinical Technician works under the direction of the RN/LPN. The responsibilities of the clinical tech include assessing and providing basic patient care needs while maintaining patient care standards. The clinical technician should be self-motivated and able to function as a member of a health care team.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Nursing Assistant certification preferred. BLS certification required.
Education: Must be a high school graduate or have GED equivalent. A student in a medical field program may be hired into a clinical technician position.
Experience: Hospital or Clinical experience preferred
Special Qualifications: Computer skills required. Medical terminology preferred.
