The technician is responsible for ensuring the safe transit of vessels by operating lock and bridge equipment and monitoring water levels. They also perform electrical maintenance and respond to breakdowns to minimize navigation interruptions.
Candidates must hold a valid electrician certification (309A or 442A in Ontario, or License C in Quebec) and have 2-5 years of industrial experience. Proficiency in PLC programming, variable speed drives, and the ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts are essential.

Salary range: $43.90/hour (min) to $CAN49,68/hour (max) (After completing the training program)
Hours of work: 40 per week, rotating day and night shifts, 12-hour shifts

In this key role, you will support operations by ensuring the safe transit of vessels, remotely controlling locks and bridges, performing electrical maintenance, and assisting during breakdown interventions.
Our comprehensive training program is designed to fully prepare you for this strategic role at the core of our operations.
The Canal Services Technician - Electrical is responsible to execute activities related to the passage of vessels through a structure, complete regular maintenance tasks and respond to breakdowns, in order to ensure the safe, secure and efficient transit of vessels.
