The role focuses on driving operational execution, enforcing strict accountability, and managing timelines for the entire team including the founder. The CEO will standardize workflows and translate high-level product visions into concrete, time-bound project roadmaps.
Candidates must be unshakable operators with a proven track record of leadership in fast-paced startups. They need to be process-driven, authoritative, and capable of demanding excellence while maintaining a collaborative culture.
We have built an incredible team, a strong product foundation, and a highly collaborative culture. However, we are too friendly. We need an execution powerhouse to step in as a Co-Founder & Operational Leader to bring structure, discipline, and uncompromising accountability to our daily operations.
In this role, you are the ultimate driver of timelines. You will manage the execution of the entire team—including the original Founder. The Founder is stepping away from day-to-day project tracking to focus purely on product development and culture, meaning you will have full authority to set deadlines, enforce metrics, and act as the operational anchor of the company.
Enforce Accountability: Establish clear, strict, and measurable key performance indicators (KPIs) and project deadlines for all departments.
Manage "Up" and "Down": Drive timelines for the engineering/product team while simultaneously holding the original Founder accountable to their strategic deliverables.
Operational Structure: Standardize company workflows and eliminate bottlenecks caused by over-flexibility or scope creep.
The Operational "Bad Cop": Serve as the unbiased, objective voice in the room who prioritizes delivery dates and business metrics over social comfort.
Strategic Alignment: Partner with the original Founder to translate high-level product visions into concrete, time-bound project roadmaps.
An Unshakable Operator: You have a proven track record of running operations, project management, or leadership in a fast-paced startup.
Thick-Skinned & Authoritative: You are comfortable pushing back against senior leadership and founders when deadlines are at risk.
Process-Driven: You love project management tools and view an missed deadline as a systemic issue to fix.
High Emotional Intelligence: You know how to be strict and demand excellence without destroying the collaborative, friendly culture we’ve built.
Equity/Co-founder status (to be negotiated based on experience).
