A bachelor's degree in organizational health and safety or a related field is preferred.
WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE OUR REGIONAL FIELD SAFETY SPECIALIST
This full-time construction position typically follows a Monday through Friday schedule, with hours generally between 7 am and 7 pm. About eighty percent of your time will be spent in the field, with the remainder in the office.
As a Regional Field Safety Specialist, you will start your day by heading out to various job sites across the Memphis area. You will identify and document onsite risks or discrepancies during daily site walks, using company protocols to complete thorough hazard analyses. Your day will include evaluating equipment needs, participating in daily and weekly meetings with project teams, and assisting in investigations and reporting for any incidents that occur. You'll work closely with work crews, ensuring that injuries are accurately documented and supporting the evaluation of subcontractors and their practices. When you spot non-compliant procedures, you will notify management and participate in finding timely solutions. You will also have the opportunity to present toolbox talks and update leadership on the progress of the program.
