About the Role:

As a Transportation Driver within the manufacturing industry, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of raw materials, components, and finished products between manufacturing facilities, warehouses, and distribution centers in Cleveland area. Your primary objective will be to maintain an efficient transportation schedule that supports production timelines and customer commitments. You will be responsible for operating company vehicles in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, while adhering to safety standards to protect yourself, the cargo, and the public. This role requires strong coordination with logistics, warehouse teams, and management to optimize routes and resolve any transportation challenges promptly. Ultimately, your efforts will directly contribute to the seamless flow of goods that underpin the manufacturing supply chain and customer satisfaction.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred but experience driving box truck accepted.
• Clean driving record with no recent violations or accidents.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
• Physical ability to load and unload cargo and sit for extended periods while driving.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills to read delivery instructions and complete logs.
• Must be able to gain and maintain federal clearance for access to federal contractors 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience driving in the manufacturing or logistics industry.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation and route planning software.
• Ability to operate forklifts or other warehouse equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Operate company vehicles to transport materials and products safely and efficiently between designated locations.
• Inspect vehicles before and after trips to ensure they are in good working condition and report any maintenance needs.
• Plan and follow the most efficient routes while complying with all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Load and unload cargo carefully, verifying shipment contents against delivery documentation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse personnel, and management to coordinate schedules and report any delays or issues.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents during transportation.
• Adhere to all company policies and regulatory requirements related to transportation and safety.
