The Project Procurement Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to define procurement strategies and manage supplier relationships for development projects. They are responsible for ensuring cost reduction, managing purchase orders, and mitigating procurement-related risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement engineering or project procurement within a technology or manufacturing environment is required, along with a CPSM or equivalent certification.

More about the role
Job Summary
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify procurement needs and strategies. Develops and manages supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance. Analyzes market trends to optimize procurement processes and reduce costs. Ensures all procurement related actions are managed for assigned NPDL project and/or other development projects.
Key Areas of Responsibility
• Collaborates with project teams to define procurement requirements and strategies.
• Manages procurement activities to ensure alignment with project timelines and budgets.
• Prepares and manages purchase orders and contracts in accordance with company policies.
• Ensures compliance with all relevant regulations and standards throughout the procurement process.
• Drives supplier & part selection in I2M tog with CT.
• Orders tools and samples in relation to NPI's.
• Manages phase-in/phase-out planning related to NPI.
• Manages procurement related actions for Customization & Engineering to Order Projects.
• Identifies opportunities in new design process through early supplier involvement.
• Ensures procurement related risks are controlled and mitigated.
• Supports, initiates and executes the implementation of commodity strategies, DFX and VE cost reduction plans.
• Supports the negotiation teams with conceptual and fact-based information and opportunities to drive significant structural cost reduction improvement.
• Meets procurement savings cost targets.
• Develops I2M/TCO cost roadmaps & linkage to margin management.
• Reports Procurement KPI's.
• Supports the Supplier Quality team in new supplier component release process as part of the Advanced Quality Plan (AQP), including compliance and sustainability aspects.
Critical Experiences
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement engineering or project procurement within a technology or manufacturing environment.
• Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or equivalent certification.
