SEA is a leading logistical supplier to the Military and Commercial Aerospace market.  Founded in 1970 as a manufacturer’s rep, SEA began to expand its focus into the stock and distribution of military wire and cable in the 1980s. Since then, the company has continued to horizontally grow their product offering and improve their systems to provide customers with the high level of service they have come to expect from SEA for 50+ years.

Job Summary

Works cross-functionally with sales, purchasing, warehouse, and order management teams to address the needs of our customers. All consignment activities to include contracts, material replenishment, invoicing, reconciliations, and inventory analysis are the responsibility of the Inventory Control Associate. Additionally, oversight and analysis of all long-term agreements with customers.
 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Using risk assessment, historical usage as well as customer forecasts to strategically purchase and schedule inbound material to maintain desired inventory turns/safety stock.
  • Process replenishments, create invoices, and maintain relationships with consignment customers.
  • Assist with reconciliations within predetermined timeframes with customers.
  • Regularly analyze inventory levels of each long-term agreement order to ensure material is moving. Redistribute material as needed.
  • Approve all sales orders with a ship date further than 1 year from the order placement date.
  • Willingness and ability to travel, including overnight, as needed to customer sites. 


Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum high school education or equivalent.
  • Multitasking abilities.
  • Must be highly organized and able to work accurately and independently.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude towards self and others.
  • Able to effectively interact with a variety of personnel at all organizational levels.
  • Possesses basic math skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent keyboard skills including intermediate level performance in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain Management, DFAR, Acquisition Management helpful.

Physical Requirements
  • This position may involve light physical activity such as filing, bending, and lifting office materials or products up to 20 lbs. You should be comfortable using standing office equipment, including computers, printers, and phones.
