INVENTORY AND LOGISTICS SPECIALIST
JOB DESCRIPTION

The Inventory and Logistics Specialist plays a critical role in living up to that value by providing the right parts at the right time to our production team, managing and tracking inventory on hand to support forecasted production schedules, and shipping products and accessories to our customers.
Sagetech is experiencing significant growth, including expanding production capacity, implementing a new ERP system, increasing our workforce, and enhancing our manufacturing operations. The Inventory and Logistics Specialist will play a key role in supporting these initiatives by helping establish efficient inventory processes, maintaining accurate inventory data, and ensuring materials are available to support production and customer deliveries. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a growing aerospace company.
OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE
Purchasing and Receiving
In support of the production schedule, future forecasts and individual requests, place orders for required production, engineering and facility supply items from approved suppliers.
Work effectively within our current inventory management system, and participate in the transition to new ERP system.
Receive parts and supplies into our system, and coordinate with the Quality Team and ensure received quality are accurate to purchase and meets requirements. Coordinate return and replacement where necessary.
Prepare and maintain Hazardous Material ordering, storage, and disposal for all production and engineering needs.
Maintain proper handling instructions and labeling standards per OSHA mandates.
Production Support
Manage a production schedule that meets sales forecast demand.
Under the guidance of the Supply Chain Manager and in coordination with the Production Supervisor, pull material from stock for production kits.
Purchase and store production supplies when requested by the Production Supervisor.
Receive WIP inventory and Finished Goods into stock. Track serial numbers as appropriate.
Inventory Management
Organize the stockroom and ensure all parts are logically, safely and neatly stored.
Maintain records of serial numbers, Certificates of Compliance and other records as required by the Quality Management System.
Perform cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure our system accurately reflects inventory on hand and inventory costs.
Shipping
Package and ship products and accessories to our customers in support of sales orders.
Coordinate with the Sales team on requirements for upcoming sales order deliveries.
MEASURES OF SUCCESS
Material availability to production plan.
Inventory accuracy.
Material cost actuals as compared to expected bill of materials cost.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and the ability to accurately process inventory transactions using ERP or inventory management software.
Knowledge of inventory control, material handling, receiving, shipping, cycle counting, and warehouse best practices.
Experience processing domestic and international shipments, including preparing shipping and export documentation.
Ability to organize stockrooms and storage areas to support efficient inventory management and material flow.
Experience using carrier shipping systems (e.g., FedEx, UPS, DHL) and customer web portals for order processing, shipment notifications, and documentation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
Preferred QUALIFICATIONS
Aerospace or defense electronics manufacturing experience (AS9100D environment).
Infor CSI/Syteline ERP System experience
Salary range: $22 to $35/ hour based on experience
