Are you friendly, dependable, and energized by working in a creative, community-focused environment? The Rockwell Museum is seeking enthusiastic individuals to support Guest Services and Event Setup operations. This is a part-time to full-time contract position hired through a staffing agency, offering the opportunity to work in one of Corning's premier cultural destinations.
What You'll Do
Greet and assist museum visitors with a warm, professional attitude.
Sell admissions, memberships, and Museum Store merchandise.
Answer visitor questions and help create an exceptional guest experience.
Support activities at the KIDS ROCKWELL Art Lab.
Assist with event setup and breakdown, including tables, chairs, podiums, and equipment.
Prepare spaces for receptions, concerts, lectures, private events, and other museum programs.
Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas.
What You'll Bring
Friendly, outgoing, and customer-service oriented.
Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
Comfortable handling cash, technology, and basic computer systems.
Able to lift event equipment and remain on their feet for extended periods.
Flexible and available to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Employment Type: Part-time to full-time contract assignment
Hiring: This position is employed through a staffing agency and assigned to The Rockwell Museum.
Pay Rate:$16.30–$16.40 per hour

The Rockwell Museum (111 Cedar Street) is open every day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Museum’s campus includes the KIDS ROCKWELL Art Lab, featuring family-friendly activities, games and hands-on projects connected to exciting special exhibitions and the Museum’s collection of American artworks. The Art Lab is located around the corner at 36 E. Market Street and is open Thursday through Monday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the fall/winter season. One ticket provides access to both Rockwell locations.
Ticket discounts are available for local residents, students, groups and ages 55+; youth 17 and under are always free at The Rockwell.
